Bio
Marlon joined Lucasfilm in 2008 as Project Manager of the Technology team, which is comprised of Information Systems, Production Engineering, Information Technology, and Resource Management. He works closely with his team in conjunction with the multiple technology teams in the US in supporting the technology needs of all the production divisions (ILM, LucasArts, and Lucasfilm Animation).
Marlon’s close to 15 years of experience in the animation industry combines extensive management skills with industry and technological knowledge. Prior to joining the studio, he served as Production Manager at Laika Entertainment (formerly Vinton Studios), before leaving to co-found Mind The Gap, Inc. a consulting and software development firm that helps animation studios apply pipeline and infrastructure technologies to their own specific needs.
Prior experience includes production and technology related management positions at studios such as Vanguard Animation, PDI/Dreamworks, and Fox Animation.
Marlon also Co-Produced and was the Visual FX Supervisor on the short “Memories of You” which was an official selection of 5 film festivals and won “Best Artistic Vision” at the Atlantic City Film Festival.
His earlier credits includes work in Broadcast Television on Fox TV’s “Code 3,” and NBC’s “Name Your Adventure.”
