Understanding Roles with FPS

This user guide will refer to access levels when describing how users will interact with FPS. Let's review the three levels of access in FPS, each with its own type of permissions in the software:

Guest
Guests have viewing-only access in the software, and are not able to change any data. This access level is suited best for someone that wants access to FPS but who is not specifically attached to a shot or assignment in the system (for example, someone in Human Resources).

Artist
Artist access level gives unrestricted viewing access and the ability to:

Change status on tasks (from "new" to "in progress" or "ready for review")

Add notes on all levels (shot, asset, take, etc.)

Use search tool

Artists, however, are unable to change dates or approval status, delete anything (or set to Out-Of-Picture), or change artist assignments.

Manager
Manager-level access is given to coordinators, project managers, supervisors, directors, and producers. It gives full viewing and editing permissions.
